Without a photographer's pass I had the fence in the way. Catching 2 cars between the posts was a challenge.
An immature black shag caught an eel and was immediately chased by three other shags - onto the pasture adjacent to the river then back into the river. Eventually the eel escaped.
This chick had been raised in a man-made nest box which seemed to work well. Here it was being fed - its parent deposited the fish on the concrete bridge structure for the chick to come and get.
My intention with this page is to highlight one photo from each outing and tell its story in a couple of sentences. The subjects will vary - it will be whatever caught my eye or was most special on that day.
