This time they're from a goldfinch.
 These birds may or may not be related, but 3 juveniles between 2 adults might be a family group.
 An easterly swell will often wash up live trough shells. The large black-backed gulls know to drop them from a height to gain access to the food inside.
 The hermit crab was right at the tide line. Every wave turned it over and left it exposed and covered in grit. It used its pincer to wipe the grit off itself just in time for the next wave. And so on. I took a few photos then moved it to a sheltered spot where the rest of the hermit crabs seemed happy. Its home is an ostrich foot shell.
 A microscope adds a whole new dimension to how we see the world. This is a blackbird's feather.
